We have worked in cybersecurity for the last two decades.

In 2024 we left our day jobs to found Paladin Security. In a world where cyberattacks become more insidious and sophisticated each year, we saw the benefit of a cybersecurity company that was small, capable, and agile.

Our size and approach to cybersecurity enables us to keep up with the latest tools and follow the best practice approaches the industry has to offer.

Since our establishment, we’ve partnered with many organisations across numerous industries to improve their security posture.

Phil Dobson

Managing Director

Phil has worked in sales, operations, and management roles in the New Zealand market for over 20 years, nearly half of that in cybersecurity. He enjoys building relationships and helping businesses secure their most critical assets. Previously Phil managed a large cybersecurity consulting business. He has also worked directly with the boards, executive leadership teams, and staff from a range of businesses to educate them on good security practices. Phil is responsible for Paladin Security’s operational and commercial leadership.

Yogesh Deshpande

Technical Director

Yogesh brings 14+ years of technical experience to Paladin, including over 9 years operating as a Senior and Principal Penetration Tester in the New Zealand and Australian market. Yogesh steers Paladin’s technical direction and service development. He specialises in real-world, attacker-focused security assessments, with particular expertise in OT/ICS environments, iOT, AI systems, and complex enterprise and cloud platforms. Yogesh is an active contributor to the security community through technical writing and research.
